Abstract

A reproduction of segments of two articles written by H.A.C. Sturgess, Librarian of the Middle Temple, discussing wartime destruction of buildings sacred to the legal order. Within the segments, the destruction of several buildings is discussed including the Temple Church, the Master’s House, the Cloisters, the Lamb Building, the Inner Temple Hall and Library, Brick Court, Pump Court, the Middle Temple Library, the Hall and Library of Gray’s Inn, and Lincoln’s Inn.
