CANON LAW
Abstract
The author examines the evolution of the law, not only in England but newer countries such as Canada, in order to argue that ecclesiastical custom has affected that evolution far more than is commonly supposed. The author claims that the effects can be seen even where the secularist spirit has been most proudly proclaimed, and that much can be learned in jurisprudence by studying the canonists. Keywords:
