Abstract

This commentary on the state of legal education reviews both sides of the debate over education: the perspectives of the classicists and modernists. The author discusses how these doctrines affect legal education specifically, as he moves through the stages of legal training and considers in a practical manner the salient features of the conflict within both the common and civil law contexts.
