REFLEXIONS SUR LES DOMMAGES PUNITIFS ET EXEMPLAIRES
AbstractPunitive damages are unknown to civilian systems. Nevertheless these remedies of the common law have been imported piecemeal into Quebec by legislation over the last quarter century. By employing the law of copyright the author examines the present nature of punitive damages in Quebec and argues that their development in that jurisdiction must be governed by the policy of evenness of application of the federal law of copyright across Canada.
