THE CONSTITUTION AND THE COURTS IN 1939
Abstract
In this article the author summarizes the cases in which the Courts have determined points of Canadian constitutional law during the year 1939. First, the author examines several decisions, commenting on the judicial doctrines of constitutional interpretation applied. He then briefly examines a few decisions of minor interest and discusses which Canadian statutes have been held valid or invalid, and upon what grounds. In concluding his article the author then refers to some books and articles that may prove instructive in the area of Canadian constitutional law.Keywords:
