Abstract

A Presidential Address given at the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Bar Association is reproduced here in slightly abbreviated form. The topic of discussion being the role of lawyers in an expanding economy, the speaker first discusses the various expansions and developments affecting industry and natural resources. He then considers the part lawyers have played in this development and their duty to keep pace with the climate of change.
