THE 1952 CONGRESS OF L'ASSOCIATION HENRI CAPITANT
Abstract
This article briefly discusses the origins, objectives and development of L’Association Henri Capitant pour la Culture Juridique Francaise in Canada. The 1952 congress was held in Canada, with the intention of studying six subjects: 1) the progress of science and the law of evidence, 2) evolution of the respective positions of husband and wife in marriage, 3) the notion of good morals and public order in private law, 4) the problem of the mutability of the matrimonial regime, 5) the concept of the natural obligation and its role in the civil law, and 6) stipulations for the benefit of third persons and their principle applications.Keywords:
