THE PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS
Abstract
This presidential address, delivered to the Canadian Bar Association at the Thirty-fourth Annual Meeting, follows up the previous year’s address, in response to an invitation from the Minister of Justice to further clarify the Association’s position on appointments to the bench. The author argues for merit-based appointments from a constitutional standpoint. Keywords:
