A CODIFICATION OF FRENCH PRIVATE INTERNATIONAL LAW

Authors

  • GEORGES RENE DELAUME

Abstract

A general codification of private international law is being prepared for the first time in French legal history. The provisions embodied in the Draft Code are divided into seven chapters. As the provisions are not well known to the public, the author analyses them, attempting to give non-French readers a detailed view and to establish the connection between the Draft and its French tradition and the present case law.
