Abstract

A recent Gallup Poll administered by the Canadian Institute of Public Opinion revealed that nearly two in every three Canadians harbour some distrust of lawyers’ motives. The author reviews the methods, discusses the results of the poll and reviews the objectives of the Institute and the poll itself, attempting to expose weaknesses in the procedure and to bridge the gap between the public and the legal profession.
