SOME PHASES OF AMERICAN LEGAL EDUCATION

Abstract

The development of the study of law in America is one of the most remarkable chapters in American educational history. In the United States, Kent turned our attention toward the treatment of law as science while making it clear that our law was something more than a conglomeration of empiricism and that it could be classified according to underlying principles and doctrines. Canadians have a similar experience to Americans. However, because of the strength of the Bar association in Canada as compared to the United States, the association and universities will be able to work closely together in relation to legal education.
