CONVICTION AND PROBATION THE POSITION IN THE UNITED STATES WITH REGARD TO PROBATION AND CONVICTION
Abstract
In this article the author briefly discusses the United States approach to probation and conviction. First, the author discusses the two exceptional instances where conviction will not be a prerequisite to probation in the United States. He then looks at the merits of ordering probation without conviction. H concludes that probation without conviction is merely a legal fiction and thus it need not be of great concern.Keywords:
