Abstract

Three addresses delivered at the first conference of the Inter-American Bar Association are reproduced here. The first is the address of Robert H. Jackson, Attorney-General of the United States in which the current and past state of international law is discussed and the hope for the realization of an international order under law is expressed. The second is the address of William S. Culbertson in which he examines theories of law and articulates a desire for unity in law everywhere. The third is the address of Otto Schoenrich in which he discusses the objectives of the Inter-American Bar Association and examines how it prevails over gatherings such as the Pan-American Conferences in drawing the countries of the Western Hemisphere together.
