Abstract

Originally delivered at the Canadian Branch of the International Law Association, this address concerns the practical problems and developments intimately related to the rule of law in international affairs. It includes the repatriation of prisoners of war in Korea, the development of international law through the United Nations and the role of the International Law Commission. The author also outlines the Canadian attitude toward legal problems in the U.N., the implications of that attitude and the implications of collective security.
