Abstract

As part two of an article describing the established and significant role of county court judges in the community, this article reviews the historical background of the courts over which they preside, indicating their place in the general scheme of the administration of justice in Ontario. The author also discusses the security of tenure of county judges and submits proposals for improvement to the constitution of the courts, procedure, extension of jurisdiction and public rights.
