THE CANADIAN TAX FOUNDATION

Authors

Abstract

The Canadian Tax Foundation was established four years ago by the joint action of the Dominion Association of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Bar Association. The author believes the Foundation’s objectives are important given increasing taxation and the prospect of Canada’s economy moving to near-war footing. Those objectives are therefore set out and reviewed, and it is argued that their successful accomplishment is a direct interest and responsibility of the legal profession. The benefits to the profession are also canvassed, as are the benefits to corporations, individuals and government.
